DEVELOPMENT" AND A PAMPHLET BEARING THE SAME TITLE
AND DATED JULY, 1961, AS BASED UPON TWO STUDIES -
ONE ENTITLED "CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA REPORT
ON MASTER PLA/~ FOR RAINFALL DRAINAGE SYSTEM, AUGUST,
1960" AS PREPARED BY VOORHEIS, TRINDLE AND NELSON
OF WESTMINSTER, CALIFORNIA; AND THE OTHER ENTITLED
"PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT OF THE MASTER PLAN
FOR STORM DRAINS FOR THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, ORANGE
COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, JANUARY, 1961" AS PREPARED BY
BOYLE ENGINEERING OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, after public hearings and on notice the Planning
Commission of the City of Santa Ana has determined that the public
necessity, convenience and general welfare require the adoption of
a phase of the public services and facilities element of the General
Plan of Community Development of Santa Ana related to drainage and
particularly a method of handling storm run-off waters which may
accumulate within the City Limits of said City; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has adopted a map entitled
"'Drainage' - the Phase of the Public Services Element of the General
Plan of Conununity Development" and a pamphlet bearing the same title
and dated July, 1961, as based upon two studte~, one entitled "City of
Santa Aha, California, Report on Master Plan for Rainfall Drainage
System, August, 1960" as prepared by Voorheis, Trindle and Nelson of
Westminster, California; and the other entitled "Preliminary Engineer-
ing Report of the Master Plan of Storm Drains for the City of Santa
Ana, Orange County, California, January, 1961" as prepared by Boyle
Engineering of Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, said Planning Co~nission has adopted said phase of
the Master Plan for the Community Development of the City in accordance
with the requirements of the Santa Ana Municipal Code and the laws of
the State of California; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha has, after
public hearing on notice, considered the adoption of said public
services element of the General Plan of Community Development of the

City and has determined that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the adoption of said Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That a map entitled "'Drainage'-
A Phase of the Public Services and Facilities Element of the General
Plan of Community Development" and a pamphlet bearing the same title
and dated July, 1961, as based upon two stud~es~ one entitled "City of
Santa Ana California Report on Master Plan for Rainfall Drainage System,
August, 1960" as prepared by Voorheis, Trindle and Nelson of Westminster,
California; and the other entitled "Preliminary Engineering Report of
the Master Plan for Storm Drains for the City of Santa Ana, Orange
County, California, January, 1961" as prepared by Boyle Engineering of
Santa Ana, California, are hereby adopted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of August, 1961.
