CHANGING NAME OF SUBRECIPIENT
FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS

1998, by and between the City of Santa Ana, a municipal corporation of the State of
California ("CITY") and Neighborhood Housing Services of Orange County, Inc.
("SUBRECIPIENT"/"NHSOC"), formerly referred to as The Santa Ana Neighborhood
Housing Services, Inc. ("SUBRECIPIENT"/"SANHS").
WITNESSETH
A. CITY is the recipient of funds from the United States Department of Housing
and Urban Development ("HUD") pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Community
Development Act of 1974, as amended ("ACT").
B. CITY granted to SUBRECIPIENT, by that certain Agreement entitled
"Agreement Between the City of Santa Ana and the Santa Ana Neighborhood Housing
Services, Inc. for use of Community Development Block Grant Funds" dated 20th of
May, 1991, hereinafter referred to as "said Agreement," from its 1991--92 Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, for costs associated with financing the
rehabilitation of residences of eligible persons and/or families.
C. An amendment to said Agreement was filed on July 6, 1998 expanding
SUBRECIPIENT'S scope of services.
D. The parties hereto now desire to amend said Agreement as SUBRECIPIENT/
SANHS consolidated and changed its name.
WHEREFORE, for and in consideration of the respective and mutual covenants
and promises in said Agreement as hereby amended, and subject to all the terms and
conditions of said Agreement;
1. CITY and SUBRECIPIENT now desire to amend said Agreement by changing
SUBRECIPIENT's name due to a consolidation and merging of two separate
corporations. From this time forward, SANHS no longer exists and SUBRECIPIENT
shall be referred to as "Neighborhood Housing Services of Orange County, Inc."
("NHSOC").

2. Except as hereinabove modified, the terms and conditions of said Agreement
remain unchanged and in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Amendment to
said Agreement on the date and year first above -written.
