THE CITY IS PAYING NO CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, ALBERT BRUNING and BLANCHE BRUNING have presented ~o
~e City a deed dated July 18, 1961, conveying vehicular access rights
on the West side of Fairview Street, North of First Street; and /~
WHEREAS, JESSE OJEDA and LILLIAN M. OJEDA have presented to
the City a deed dated July 17, 1961, conveying vehicular access rights
on the South side of Seventeenth Street, West of Mabury Street; and /~
WHEREAS, JAMES HOLMES and FLORA HOLMES have presented to the
City a deed dated February 3, 1961, conveying an easement for street/~/
purposes on the North side of Sugar Avenue, East of Newhope Street;
and
WHEREAS, JAMES HOLMES and FLORA HOLMES have presented to the
City a deed dated February 3, 1961, conveying an easement for drain-
age purposes on the North side of Sugar Avenue, East of Newhope
Street; and
WHEREAS, VERA COLE has presented to the City a deed dated
February 3, 1961, conveying easements for drainage purposes running/~
Northerly from Sugar Avenue,aPProximately 660 feet East of Newhope
Street,for approximately 1200 feet and Easterly approximately 300
feet; and
WHEREAS, VERA COLE has presented to the City a deed dated
an easement for street purposes on the/~~

conveying
North side of Sugar Avenue, East of Newhope Street; and
WHEREAS, A. J. PADELFORD AND SON, a Partnersh~, has presented
to the City a deed dated June 26, 1961, conveying an easement for /~/ ~
street purposes on the South side of Warner Avenue, East of Halladay
Street, also granting vehicular access rights to Warner Avenue; and

WHEREAS, K. W. RANNEY, MARJORIE L. RANNE~ and HUMPHRIES
INVESTMENTS, INCORPORATED, a California corporation, have presented
to the City a quitclaim deed dated February 3, 1961, quitclaiming an
easement for street purposes on the North side of Sugar Avenue, East
of Newhope Street; and
WHEREAS, K. W. RANNEY, MARJORIE L. RANNEY, and HUMPHRIES
INVESTMENTS, INCORPORATED, a California corporation, have presented
to the City a quitclaim deed dated February 3, 1961, quitclaiming an
easement for street purposes on the North side of Sugar Avenue, East
of Newh~pe Street; and
WHEREAS, K. W. RANNEY, MARJORIE L. RANNEY, and HUMPHRIES
INVESTMENTS, INCORPORATED, a California corporation, have presented /~/~
to the City a quitclaim deed dated February 3, 1961, quitclaiming an
easement for drainage purposes on the North side of Sugar Avenue, East
of Newhope Street; and
WHEREAS, K. W. RANNEY, MARJORIE L. RANNEY, and HUMPHRIES
INVESTMENTS, INCORPORATED, a California corporation, have presented ]J~i/
to the City a quitclaim deed dated February 3, 1961, quitclaiming
easements for drainage purposes Northerly from Sugar Avenue, East of
Newhope Street, for approximately 1200 feet and Easterly approximately
300 feet; and
WHEREAS, all of said deeds are without cash consideration
being paid to said grantors by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana
accepts said deeds and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.
PASSED'AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of 1961.
