FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND THE SANTA
ANA NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSING SERVICES
FOR USE OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT FUNDS

day of OCV�j ^, 198,5, by and between the City of
Santa Ana, a municipal corporation of the State of California
("CITY"), and the Santa Ana Neighborhood Housing Services, a
non-profit corporation of the State of California ("CONTRACTOR"),
W I T N E S S E T H
Recitals:
1. CITY and CONTRACTOR entered into that certain
"Agreement Between the City of Santa Ana and the Santa Ana
Neighborhood Housing Services for the Use of Community
Development Block Grant Funds," dated May 19, 1980, on file
in the office of the Clerk of the Council of CITY, (herein-
after referred to as "said agreement") by which CONTRACTOR
agreed to perform certain housing rehabilitation activities
upon receipt of certain amounts of CITY's Community Develop-
ment Block Grant ("CDBG") funds.
2. The parties hereto now desire to increase the
amount deposited in the Revolving Loan Fund ("RLF") by an

ment Block Grant funds and extend the term of said agreement
until the end of CITY's fiscal year 1903-84.
WHEREFORE, for and in consideration of the respective
and mutual covenants and promises of said agreement as
hereby amended, and subject to all the terms and conditions
of said agreement as hereby amended, the parties hereto do
hereby agree as follows:
1. That subparagraph B of paragraph 11 of said
agreement shall be amended to read as follows:
"B. CITY agrees to budget one Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($100,000.00) for fiscal year 1983-84, subject
to the availability of Community Development Block
Grant funding, for a public improvement program within
the target area as shown,in Exhibit A."
2. That subparagraph C of paragraph II shall be
added to read as follows:
"C. CITY agrees to provide a bilingual code
inspector, as required, and reasonable assistance
in data gathering and analysis for CONTRACTOR's
program development and evaluation."
3. That paragraph III shall be amended to read
as follows:
"III. Duration.
The term of this agreement shall be from the date

by duly adopted and executed written amendments, in-
cluding, but not limited to, this amendment extending
the end of the term to July 1, 1984."

4. Except as expressly amended herein, said
agreement shall remain and be in full force and effect.
