HomeMy WebLinkAbout61-219 N051~219 AMENDING SECTIfN 3 OF RF.gOLUTION RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 WHEREA~ on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Rseolution No. 58-281 revising and establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for employees of the City of Santa A~la; and WHEREA~; it is now desired to reassign schedule numbers to class titles and to add certain classes to the list of titles to Section 3 of said Resolution No. 58-281; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281 is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 3: ~llocatton of C,la-$es of Employment to Salary and Wa~e Schedules. The extra compensation in each case shall be~ in addition to the regular scheduled pay~ the sum of twenty-five dollars ($2§.00) per month. **Every Police Officer doing regular peace officer work and every Fire Department employee regularly engaged in on-the- scene fire suppression (class titles for such classifications .~ hereinabove indicated by a double asterisk following such class titles) shall receive in addition to the regular scheduled and step wage designated for said lndividual~ an additional sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00) per month for each month during which said individual actually performs service for the City. For the purpose of this additional payment a regular vacation period shall be considered service. In event of absence from duty for any other reason than Vacation said additional payment shall be prorated upon the basis of the number of days actually worked. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That Section 3.1 of Resolution No. 58-281 is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 3.1: Part-time and Temporary, Rates. Part-time and temporary employees under the following class titles shall receive wages based on the rates set opposite the class title: Recreation and Parks Department: Recreation Attendant 1.26 per hour Recreation Leader I 1.80 - 1.90 - 2.00 " " Recreation Leader II 2.10 - 2.20 - 2.30 " " Recreation Specialist 2.30 " " Cashier 1.65 " " Lifeguard 1.90 " " Chief Lifeguard 2.10 " " Swimming Instructor 1.90 " " Swimming Pool Manager 2.50 - 2.60 - 2.75 " " Sports Official - Adult 2.60 - 3.15;-,~4.~p~r ga~e Sports Official - Junior 1.09 - 1.60 - 2.10 " " Score Official 2.10 " Library Department: Library Page Story Teller Police Department: Crossing Guards Special Police Officer Public Works Department: Resident Engineer City Manager: Student Intern 1.05 - 1.15 - 1.25 per hour 1.80 " " 6.00 per day 2.77 - 3.17 - 3.63 per hour $735. per month (flat) 1.70 per hour BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That all other Resolutions amending Section 3; of Resolution No. 58-281 are declared to be superseded; rescinded and repealed by this Resolution. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this Resolution shall take effect as ef the ist day of September; 1961.
