HomeMy WebLinkAbout61-266RESOLUTION NO. 61-266 ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF WASHINGTON AVENUE EAST OF THE NEW ALIGNMENT OF JACKSON STREET WHEREAS, on October 16, 1961, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 61-242 declaring intention to vacate that portion of Washington Avenue herein described, fixing date of hearing on said question; and WHEREAS, on November 20, 1961, public hearing was duly held on said question on posted notices and written notice contained in the publication of said Resolution No. 61-242. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby finds that the portion of Washington Avenue herein described is un- necessary for present or prospective street purposes and hereby makes its order vacating and abandoning for street purposes that portion of Washington Avenue in the City of Santa Aha, California, described as: That portion of Washington Avenue as shown on a map of Tract Number 1022, Recorded in Book 34, Pages 20 and 21, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, lying East,of a line that is parallel with and 576.52 feet East, measured at right angles, from the center line of Bewley Street as shown on said map of Tract Number 1022; reserving and excepting from said vacation a permanent easement and right of way for the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company and the Southern California Edison company for the maintenance of the exist- ing utilities structures and to construct, place, operate, inspect, maintain, repair and replace such aerial and underground telephone, telegraph and communication structures as said companies may from time to time require, consisting of poles, anchors, wires, cables, conduits, manholes, markers and necessary fixtures and appurtenances over that area of said street easement bounded as follows: · On the West by a line running due North from a point on the South line of said right-of-way, which point is located 83 feet East of the centerline of Jackson Street; on the South by a line running due East which is 3 feet North of and parallel to the South line of -1- said Washington Avenue easement; on the East by a line running due North from a point on the South line of Washington Avenue which is 226.51 feet East of the centerline of Jackson Street; on the North by the North line of said Washington Avenue easement. Excepting therefrom the Westerly 186.51 feet of the Northerly 14 feet thereof.
