ON APPEAL APPLICATION NO. 38 FILED BY MANUEL G.
SAUCEDO AFTER THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR HAD DENIED
A VARIANCE
WHEREAS, after hearing on notice, the Zoning Administrator
denied Variance Application No. 1536, filed by MANUEL G. SAUCEDO,
which said Variance was requested to convert a recreation building
into a bachelor apartment in the C-1 District; and
WHEREAS, Appeal Application No. 38 was duly filed with the
City Council appealing the denial of the Variance by the Zoning
Administrator; and
WHEREAS, after hearing before the City Council it was deter-
mined that said Appeal Application should be denied; and
WHEREAS, at the Council meeting held on October 16, 1961, a
communication was presented from the applicant requesting reconsider-
ation of the denial of the Appeal Application No. 38, and it was
determined that the matter should be set for reconsideration of the
City Council at the November 20, 1961, meeting; and
WHEREAS, after hearing before the City Council; after careful
consideration of the statements contained in and the materials
accompanying the application; the testimony offered at the hearing;
examination of all the facts established; and after determining that
said use requested by Variance Application No. 1536 meets the
requirements of Section 9250.8 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code, it
has been determined that said Variance should be granted, subject to
conditions, and that the Zoning Administrator should be overruled.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana hereby grants Appeal Application No. 38 and grants
a variance on Variance Application No. 1536, subject to the condition
that the development be in accordance with the submitted plot plan.
