ESCROW INSTRUCTIONS AND DEED TO BERNARD AND CECILIA
M. BECKER FOR CLOSE OF SALE OF SYCAMORE FIRE STATION
FOR NET CASH TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA IN AMOUNT OF
$20,226.00
WHEREAS, on February 3, 1958, the City of Santa Ana offered
for sale at public auction, certain read property herein described
and Mr. Becket was high bidder offering $24,000.00, and thereafter
negotiated an escrow to allow buyer one year to pay bid price with
a monthly payment o~ price of $100.00; and
WHEREAS, thereafter buyer negotiated a further extension of
one year on condition of said payment, on purchase price of $100.00
per month and payment of $113.00 per month as interest on deferred
purchase price; and
WHEREAS, purchaser has now negotiated a new agreement for
sale of said property as follows:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That ~he Mayor and the Clerk
of the Council are directed to execute,Escrow Instructions with Bank
of America National Trust and Savings Association, 801 North Main
Street, Santa Ana, California as escrow agent, for sale of that real
property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of Call-
fornia, described as:
The East 115 feet of the following described parcel of
land:
Beginning at a point 38-2/llths rods West of a point
78-10/llth rods South of the Northeast corner of Section
Twelve, Township Five South, Range Ten West, S.B.B. & M.,
and running thence North 55-2/5ths feet; thence East to
the West line of Sycamore Street, as said Street is de-
scribed in Decree of Condemnation, a certified copy of
which Decree was recorded January 8th, 1929 in Book 227,
Page 401 of Official Records of Orange County; thence
South along the said West line of Sycamore Street 55-2/Sths
feet to the North line of land conveyed ~o W. H. James and
wife by deed recorded September 1st, 1928 in Book 184, page
488 of Official Records of Orange County; thence West to
the point of beginning,
whereunder, the City is to receive the net sum of $20,226.00, and to
furnish a policy of title insurance issued by the Orange County Title
Company showing title vested in the City of Santa Aha, and a deed
granting said property to Bernard and Cecilia M. Becker. Ail escrow
expense and Federal Document Stamps to be paid by purchaser.
