ALLISON HONER FOR HIS GIFT TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
OF A NEW FIFTY STAR UNITED STATES FLAG TO BE FLOWN
AT THE CI~l~ HALL
WHEREAS, in 1935 ~4r. Allison Honer presented to the City of
Santa Aha the first flag to be flown from the flag staff on the front
or Westerly face of the then new City Hall; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Allison Honer has now taken this occasion, the
year of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the flying of the first flag
from the City Hall, to make a gift to the City of Santa Ana of the
new fifty-star United States flag, in commemoration of the dedication
of the City Hall and the flying of the first flag from its flag staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana, for and on behalf of the official City Family and
all of the citizens of Santa Ana, California, expresses thanks and
appreciation to Mr. Allison Honer for the gift of the new flag Which
will be flown in commemoration of the dedication of the Santa Ana
City Hall twenty-five years ago.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of July, 1960.
