AE$OLUTION HO. 60-134 GRANTING VARIANCE APPLICATION
NO. 1351 FILED BY SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON CO~PA~
WHERE PLANNING CO~ISSION RECOmmEnDED DENIAL
WHEREAS, ~he Planning Con~ission, after public hearing on notice,
has recommended denial of Variance Application No. 1351, and the City
Council, after consideration, has decided that said Variance should be
granted upon certain conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ~ESOLVED: That the City Council hereby
grants a Variance on Application No. 1351 to permit the property known
and numbered as 601-$07 West Eighth Street, in the City of Santa Ana,
lying in the County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Lot 2 and the South 101 feet of Lot 1 of Block A of
Harley's Addition to the Town of Santa Ana as shown
on a map re~orded in Book 23, page S0 of Miscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County,
in an R-2 District, to be used for the construction of a public util-
ities commercial office in accordance with regulations. Said Variance
is granted subject to conditions:
That a rendering of the project to illustrate the proposed
development and landscaping be placed with the Planning
Department for their file.
That 17 off-street parking spaces be provided as required.
Each parking space is to be 9' x 20', accessible and useable,
and marked.
3. That all driveway and parking areas be asphalt or concrete.
~fhat a solid concrete wall not less than 2 feet in height
be erected along the West property line from the Northwest
corner of the proposed commercial office building to the
Northwest corner of applicant's property.
That a street easement for the full width of the property
along Eighth Street, a strip of land 30 feet in width,
measured North of and at right angles to the centerline of
Eighth Street, be dedicated to the City. This easement is
to include a 25 foot property line radius at the corner of
Eighth Street and Van Ness Street.
6. That all vehicular access rights from this property to
Eighth Street be dedicated to the City.
7. That approximately 75 lineal feet of broken sidewalk on
Van Ness Street be replaced.
8. That the owner improve the alley along the entire rear of
the property involved.
That all requested deeds be prepared by a competent title
company on a City deed form and submitted to the Department
of Public Works.

10. That the development be according to plot plan.
11. That all the above conditions be complied with prior to
issuance of a utilities release by the Building Department.
