Hello,
Lifelong resident of Santa Ana here.
On Sunday 12/8 Benjamin Vazquez displayed the utmost worst professionalism I have ever experienced/seen.
Benjamin was being rude and spoke back to Stephanie Mendez who has been advocating justice for her mother
after dealing with a violent neighbor who has assaulted her mother in the past. She even went to the city council
to speak up and Benjamin acted like he never saw her in his life.
Ben would give condescending replies to the daughter like "Well what are you doing to help your mom?!?"
Like as if she hasn't been reaching out to everyone in the city like the PD and even going to council meetings to
advocate for her mother.
He showed no empathy or an ounce of care toward the daughter and would only reply back with excuses and
backtalk for his lackluster efforts to reach out to a person in need.
This is not how a PUBLIC SERVANT should speak towards the residents he is supposed to be working for.
I can't imagine how Ben must speak to his enemies if that is how he speaks to a woman.
I agree with a lot of Ben's views and efforts but his actions made me open my eyes to the real person that he
sadly is. What's the point of being "Woke" or "Progressive" if you're just going to act like a complete jerk to the
people he is supposed to help/care for.
Sincerely,
Jason
Thank you very much for your assistance in representing our concerns,
Seniors of Metro East

I am emailing in support of Stephanie Mendez and her mother Zoyda Mendez.
I am not a close friend however, i came across their story through mutual friends.
i am also a Santa Ana resident. this story particularly struck me because it could happen to anyone living in Santa Ana, including me.
it is unfair that after 5 years, nothing has been done.
this makes me wonder what then, would happen if (God forbid) this or a similar incident happened to my mother?
what if i reached out to authorities seeking a solution for my mother or sister or any other loved one and received no support in getting
this resolved?
this is unacceptable. we pay our taxes, we pay our rent.
we should be able to feel safe and supported in our community.
something has to be done.
I fully support Ms. Medina and her mother and demand justice now!

Dear Santa Ana officers
I am a long time Santa Ana resident and I am reaching out to you regarding a hearing that happened over a week ago
about a neighbor terrorizing my friends mom. As of today no actions have been taken and it's very concerning. We as
the community rely on your team to make us feel safe, please express my concerns to the rest of the members. Hoping a
prompt and firm solution is forthcoming.
Respectfully
Christhian Chumpitaz

Hello Mayor Amezcua, I am writing this in the hopes that you can finally help Santa Ana resident, Zoyda Mendez, in her
ongoing struggles with her violent and abusive neighbor. To my knowledge you have yet to even reach out to her to try
to resolve her situation. If you had enough time to go around my neighborhood in Ward 5 to campaign for Mario
Alvarado, who is also endorsed by the police officers union, but don't have the time to help a resident in need, you do
not have your priorities in order and are proving to be in your position for all the wrong reasons. For once please do
right by the people of Santa Ana.

Why have you allowed violent criminals to break restraining orders & continue to harm & harass our citizens.
What can you do to make citizens & women like Mrs Mendez feel protected and heard?

Hi I met you at the Christmas event yesterday.
After coming home yesterday there was a disgusting smell and it was from hot mopping the women's shower.
There is also a hole in the wall where they removed molded wood from and that hole so happens to be the men's
shower apparently and I believe they are still being used like that. Today they are hot mopping the men's
showers. I went to get lunch from the dinning area with one of my daughters and coming back to the family
dorm the smell was so powerful the mask i had did nothing I felt my throat burn my head hurting and now
feeling nauseous. My chest hurts. My daughter said she feels fine but my kids don't want to leave the room
because of the smell. I'm not sure if it's even habitable to even be like this but everyone here just say oh well it's
just for a day it's not hazardous or toxic. A family in my room has a boy with asthma, has not had this many
flare ups ever and now is . Constantly feeling trouble breathing. As am I , I have asthma as well and since they
are trying to fix that mold problem that has obviously been something that had been overlooked and been
accumulating for over a year it's in the air . As soon as I leave here after about an hour or two I feel so much
better and my chest no longer feels pressure
