Subject: ITEM 30 — Ordinance To Exempt Properties
I support the adoption of this ordinance. Santa Ana has been a leader in addressing new housing and
should have the opportunity to be a leader again by identifying where and what it needs to build to
meet or exceed state requirements.
The General Plan took many years of hard work by the City, its residents, and its businesses to
develop and pass. This ordinance does not say "Do not build at all"... it merely says where to build
according to the State approved General Plan and Housing Element.
Please retain local control and support this ordinance.
