ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA,
DESIGNATING AN APPROPRIATE NAME OF "BRISTOL AND
MEMORY LANE N. ANNEX" FOR SAID TERRITORY AND GIVING
NOTICE OF PROTEST HEARING THEREON
WHEREAS, a description and map of territory herein described
were presented to the Santa Aha Planning Conumission, and said
Commission recommended the annexation of said territory, and said
description and map were presented to the Boundary Commission of
Orange County, California, and said Boundary Commission caused to
be prepared a report finding the p~oposed boundaries to be reason-
ably definite and certain.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That, at the request of
property owners in the territory herein described, the City Council
of the City of Santa Ana hereby initiates proceedings for the
annexation of said territory to the City of Santa Aha for the fol-
lowing reasons:
1.) That said territory will need municipal services to
support and justify any development of a more intensive
use and to increase the property values and potential
incomes from said territory.
2.) That the area can best be served by the City of Santa
Ana with municipal services of the highest quality anywhere
obtainable.
3.) That it is to the mutual advantag~ of the land owners
and the City of Santa Ana that said territory become a
part of said City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares
its intention to annex all of the territory hereinbelow described under
the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939,
and hereby finds and declares that said territory is uninhabited within
the meaning of California Government Code Section 35303 on the date of
the adoption of this Resolution; that said territory is contiguous to

the City of Santa Ana, lies in the County of Orange, State of Call-
fornia, and is described as:
Beginning at a point on the City boundary of the City of
Santa Ana, California, said point being on the Southeast
corner of Lot 25 of the Potts, Borden and Sidwell Tract as
shown on a map thereof recorded in Miscellaneous Record
Book 4, page 624, records of Los Angeles County, California,
said point being at the ihtersection of the center lines of
Memory Lane and Bristol Street; and running thence Easterly
along said City boundary and along said center line of Memory
Lane, 587 feet more or less to an angle point in said City
boundary; thence Northerly along a line parallel to the East
line of Lot 14, of said Ports, Borden and Sidwell Tract, and
along said City boundary 535.92 feet; thence departing from
said City boundary Westerly along a straight line which is
parallel with the South line of said Lots 25, and 14 and its
extension 1,447 feet more or less to the East line of that
certain 630 feet strip of land described in Parcel 2, in the
deed to the County of Orange recorded May 25, 1932, in Book 557,
Page 264, Official Records of Orange County, California; thence,
in a Southwesterly direction along said East line 570 feet
more or less to its intersection with said City boundary; thence,
Easterly along said City boundary 1,090 feet more or less to
the point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That "Bristol and Memory Lane N. Annex"
is hereby designated as an appropriate name by which said territory
shall be known for the purpose of this annexation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That notice is hereby given that
October 17, 1960, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers,
City Hall, Third and Main Streets, Santa Ana, California, is the time
and place fixed at which said Council will hear protests against this
Annexation made by any person owning property within said territory.
At any time before said hour any owner of property within said terri-
tory may file written protest against this proposed Annexation. Such
protest shall state the name of the owner of the property affected and
the description and area of the property in general terms, all as pro-
vided for in Section 35312 of the Government Code of the State of
California.

at its regular meeting held on the __
