FIXING THE SALARY OF THE CITY MANAGER
WHEREAS, heretofore on the 19th day of July 1959 the City
Council adopted Resolution No. 59-182 establishing and fixing the
rate of salary for the City Manager as $1,458.33 per month, and the
same has remained unchanged while other salaries in the City have
been increased; and
WHEREAS, salaries in the City Management field have continued
to increase at an accelerated rate, so that now the City of Santa
Aha is paying a City Manager salary that is materially below the
average of cities of similar size in this area, and to, in part
effect this difference
increasing this salary;
NOW, THEREFORE,
the Council has determined the necessity for
BE IT RESOLVED: That the salary for the posi-
tion of City Manager is hereby fixed and established at the rate of
$1,750.00 per month.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said salary shall be paid in
the same manner and at the same time as other monthly salaries of
the City are paid, and that said new salary rate shall take effect
and be paid from the 1st day of September, 1960.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 19th day of September, 1960.
