INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF RIVERINE STREET
BETWEEN A POINT 150 FEET NORTH OF EIGHTH STREET
AND TEi~H STREET
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange,
State of California, has adopted Resolution No. 60-931 respectfully
requesting that that portion of Riverine Street lying between Tenth
Street and 150 feet North of Eighth Street, in the City of Santa Ana,
California, be vacated and abandoned; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended approval of
said vacation with the exception that at the Southerly end of the
portion to be abandoned the County construct a cul de sac "turn
around" maneuvering space for vehicles used in connection with public
activities on parcels fronting on the remaining portions of Riverine
Street, immediately South of the proposed abandonment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the map attached hereto,
marked "Exhibit A" is hereby approved and ordered filed with and as
a part of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk of the Council,
and reference is hereby made to said map for particulars as to the
street vacation proposed herein, and the City Council hereby declares
its intention to vacate and abandon that portion of Riverine Street
in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California,
described as:
That portion of Riverine Street in the City of Santa
Ana, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a
map of Gardner and Moye's Addition to the Town of Santa
Ana recorded in Book 13, Page 24 of Miscellaneous Records
of Los Angeles County, State of California, bounded on the
North by the Easterly extension of the Northerly line of
Lot 12 and bounded on the South by the Easterly extension
of the Southerly line of Lot 4 in Block C of said Gardner
and Moye's Addition to the Town of Santa Ana.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the hour of 7:30 P.M. on the
5th day of December, 1960, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Third
and Main Streets, Santa Ana, California, is the time and place fixed

for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed
vacation of said street.
The City Council declares its inteDtion to proceed with this
street vacation under ~he provisions of the Street Vacation Act of
1941 (Sections 8300 through 8374 of the California Streets and High-
ways Code).
The Clerk of the Council is ordered to publish this Resolution
in the manner prescribed by law for the publication of ordinances by
the City, and the Director of Public Works is ordered to post notices
of street vacation conspicuously along the line of said street,
stating the passage of this Resolution of Intention to Vacate and the
time and place of hearing thereof. Said notices shall be posted not
more than 300 feet apart and at least three shall be so posted. Both
publication and posting shall be completed at least 10 days before
the date of said hearing.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of October, 1960.
