OCTOBER 8TH THROUGH THE 15TH AS "CHILDREN'S
HOSPITAL OF ORANGE COUNTY WEEK"
WHEREAS, through the years the need for a Children's Hospital,
as a special unit, has become increasingly apparent; and
WHEREAS, certain citizens of Orange County have joined together
in an attempt to raise money to establish a Children's Hospital
immediately adjacent to St. Josephs Hospital on the Easterly side of
North Main Street and have raised a considerable portion of the money
necessary to build said Hospital, which effort will be in vain if
further funds cannot be raised for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Aha, by official action, does hereby declare and proclaim
the week of October 8th through October 15th, both inclusive, as
CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF ORANGE COUNTY WEEK in the City of Santa Aha,
and does call upon the citizens of this City to join with the rest of
the Orange County communities in the giving of their time, skills and
money to make this much needed Hospital unit a reality.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of October, 1960.
