OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF
WIDENING BOLSA AVENUE AND DECLARING THE NECESSITY
THEREOF
WHEREAS, Bolsa Avenue, as it now exists from Harbor Boulevard
_$o the Westerly cit~ limits of the City of Santa Ana, is inadequate
in width to accomodate the flow of traffic presently using said
street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana does hereby find and determine that public interest
and necessity require that Bolsa Avenue be widened and improved on
the North and South sides, and further require that said City do
have, take and acquire easements for street purposes over, through
and across certain lands in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange,
State of California, described as:
Parcel 1. The Northerly 40 feet of the East 264 feet of
the West 294 feet of the North 330 feet of the East half
of the Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of
Section 16, in Township 5 South, Range 10 West, in the
Rancho Las Bolsas, in the City of Santa Ana, as shown on
a map thereof recorded in Book 51, Page 12, Miscellaneous
Maps, records of Orange County. Excepting that portion
previously dedicated for street purposes.
Parcel 2. The Northerly 40 feet of the West 30 feet of
the East half of the Northeast quarter of the Northeast
quarter of Section 16, in Township 5 South, Range 10 West,
in the Rancho Las Bolsas, City of Santa Ana, as shown on
the map thereof recorded in Book 51, Page 12, Miscellaneous
Maps, records of Orange County. Excepting therefrom that
portion previously dedicated for street purposes.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney is hereby
ordered and directed to bring an action in the name of said City in
the Superior Court of the State of California,in and for the County
of Orange, to condemn said property necessary to be taken as herein
ordered and described, and to do all things necessary to prosecute
said action to final determination.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the public interest, necessity
and convenience require, and it is hereby ordered,that~ the City of
Santa Ana, a municipal corporation, Plaintiff in the Condemnation
Action ordered herein, take immediate possession and use of the
property herein ordered to be acquired upon compliance with the
requirements of the law applicable thereto; that the City Attorney
report to the Director of Finance the amount of money required thereof,
and that the Director of Finance shall deposit said amount with the
Clerk of the Court.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the said action for condemnation
of said property so to be acquired shall be taken in accordance with
the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure and the Constitution
of the State of California relating to eminent domain.
