AND LYOn[ ANNEX" FOR SAiD TERRITORY, AND GIVING
NOTICE OF PROTEST HEARING THEREON
%%~EREAS, at the request of property owners in the territory
herein described, a description and a map of said territory were
presented to the Santa Ana Planning Co~]~ission, and said Commission
approved the Annexation of said Territory, and said description and
map were presented to the Boundary Commission of Orange County,
California, and said Boundary Con~ission caused to be prepared a
report finding the proposed boundaries to be reasonably definite
and certain.
~i, ~'HE~EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: fhat the City Council of
the City of Santa Ana hereby ini~ates proceedings for annexation of
said Territory herein described, to the City of Santa Ana for the
following reasons:
1.) That said territory is presently in need of municipal
services, particularly access to an adequate sewerage
system, and in the City of Santa Ana said territory
could be connected into the Santa Aha sewerage trunks
and mains without paying any cost for said lines.
2.) 'l~nat the area can best be served by the City of Santa
Ana with municipal services of the highest quality
anywhere obtainable.
3.) ~nat it is to the mutual advantage of the land owners
and the City of Santa Ana that said territory become
a part of said City.
~E iT FUR.i~HER RESOLVED: ~fhat t~e City Council hereby declares
its intention to annex all of the territory hereinbelow described
under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act
of 1939, and hereby finds and declares that said territory is unin-
habited within the meaning of California Government Code Section

35303 on the date of the adoption of this Resolution; that said
territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, lies in the
County of Orange, State of California, and is described as:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Wright Street
which bears North 00° 02' 00~' East 528.00 feet, measured
along said center line of Wright Street, from the inter-
section of the center lines of Wright Street and Seventeenth
Street, said point of beginning being a point on the city
boundary of the City of Santa Ana, California; and running
thence ~orth 00° 02' 00'~ East along said city boundary and
along said center line of ~right Street 527.73 feet; thence
departing from said city boundary North 89° 57' 21" East
830.06 feet; thence South 00° 01' 55" East 524.40 feet;
thence South 39° 43' 35" West 330.57 feet to the point of
beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: %~at ~'~i~wentieth and Lyon Annex~ is
hereby designated as an appropriate name by which said territory
shall be known for the purpose of this annexation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That notice is hereby given that
December 19, 1960, at the hour of 7:30 P.id. in the Council Chambers,
City Hall, 3rd and ~ain Streets, Santa Ana, California, is the time
and place fixed at which said Council will hear protests against
this Annexation made by any person owning property within said terri-
tory. At any time before said hour any owner of property within
said territory may file written protest against ~nis proposed
Annexation. Such protest shall state the name of the owner of the
property affected and the description and area of the property in
general terms, all as provided for in Section 35312 of the Government
Code of the State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the ?%h day of ~0~mOer , 19~0.
