WHEREAS, at the request of property owners in the territory
herein described, a description and a map of said territory were
presented to the Santa Aha Planning Commission, and said Con~ission
approved the Annexation of said territory, and said description and
map were presented to the Boundary Commission of Orange County,
California, and said Boundary Co~nission caused to be prepared a
report finding the proposed boundaries to be reasonably definite
and certain.
NOW, ~HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: 'i~at the City Council of
the City of Santa Ana hereby initiates proceedings for Annexation
of said territory herein described, to the City of Santa Ana for
the following reasons:
1.) '~at said territory is presently in need of municipal
services, particularly access to an adequate sewerage
system, and in the City of Santa Ana said territory
could be connected into the Santa Ana sewerage trunks
and mains without paying any cost for said lines.
2.) l~at the area can best be served by the City of Santa
Aha with municipal services of the highest quality
anywhere obtainable.
3.) ~nat it is to the mutual advantsge of the land owners
and the City of Santa Ana that said territory become
a part of said City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares
its intention to annex all of the territory hereinbelow described
under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited kerritory Act
of 1939, and hereby finds and declares that said territory is unin-
habited within 'the meaning of California Government Code Section

35303 on the date of the adoption of this Resolution; that said
territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, lies in the
County of Orange, State of California, and is described as:
Commencing at a point in the City boundary of the City
of Santa Ana, California, said point being the Southeast
corner of Lot 10 of the Williams Tract, as shown on a map
thereof recorded in Book 30, Page 14 of Deeds, ~ecords of
Los Angeles County, California, and running thence South ~8o
45' 1G" West along the South line of said Lot 10 a distance
of 203 feet to the true point of beginning; thence continuing
South 88° 45' 18~' West a distance of 726 feet, more or less,
to the Southeast corner of '~ract Number 3679, as shown on a
map thereof recorded in Book 132, Pages 4, 5 and 6 of
Miscellaneous Maps, ~ecords of Orange County, California,
and to an angle point in the City boundary of the City of
Santa Ana; thence North 1° 00' 10'~ West along said City
boundary and along the East line of said ~ract Number 3679
and its Northerly prolongation a distance of 1220 feet,
more or less, to the North line of that certain parcel of
land described in a Lis Pendens in Case Number 86224,
recorded in Book ~0~6, ?ages 384 and 385, Official Records
of said Orange County; thence North 87° 44' 45~' East along
said North line a distance of 158 feet, more or less, to
the beginning of a tangent curve, concave Northwesterly
and having a radius of 950.00 feet; thence Northeasterly
along said curve through a central angle of 27° 27' 1~~' an
arc distance of 455.21 feet to the beginning of a tangent
reverse curve concave Southeasterly and having a radius of
10~0.00 feet; thence ~ortheasterly along said reverse curve
an arc distance of 152 feet, more or less, to the point of
intersection of said reverse curve with the Northerly exten-
sion of a line which is 203 feet Westerly, measured at right
angles, from and parallel with the East line of said Lot 10;
thence South 1~ 03' 20" East along last mentioned parallel
line a distance of 1401 feet, more or less, to the true
point of beginning.
DE I~ FURTHER RESOLVED: '£hat "Delhi and Raitt S. E. Annex~'
is hereby designated as an appropriate name by which said territory
shall be known for the purpose of this annexation.
BE I~ FURTHER RESOLVED: 'fhat notice is hereby given that
December 19, 19~0, at the hour of 7:30 P.~. in the Council Chambers,
City ~all, 3rd and ~ain Streets, Santa Ana, California, is the time
and place fixed at which said Council will hear protests against
this annexation made by any person owning property within said
territory. At any t~e before said hour any owner of property within
said territory may fi~e written ~rotest against t~is proposed annex-
ation. Such orotest shall state the name of the owner of the property

affected and the description and area of the property in general
terms, all as provided for in Section 35312 of the Government Code
of the State of California.
