INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF ALLEY SOUTH OF
OCCIDENTAL STREET BErI~EEN STANDARD AVENUE AND
EVERGREEN STREET
W~EREAS, upon recommendation of the Public Works Department
and their report that a portion of alley had not been vacated and
should now be vacated to clear the area; and after study, the city
Council has determined that said alley may be unnecessary for present
or prospective street purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby
adopts the map attached hereto and orders the same filed as part of
this Resolution in the office cf the Clerk of the Council, and
reference is hereby made to said map as to the particulars, exact
location and extent of alley herein proposed to be vacated, and the
City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate for street
purposes the alley in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State
of California, described as:
A rectangular shaped parcel of land 20.00 feet wide and
90.00 feet long, bounded on the North by the Easterly ex-
tension of the North line of Lot 9, Block ~L" of Tract
Number 69~ as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 20,
Page 4~, of ~iscellaneous naps, Records of Orange County,
California; bounded on the East by the West line of Lots 31,
32, and 33, Block "L" of said '~ract Number 698; bounded on
the West by the East line of Lots 9, 10, and 11, Blociz
of said Tract Number 696; bounded on the South by the
Easterly extension of the North line of the South 30.00
feet of Lot 11, Block "L" of said Tract Number ~9~.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That January 3rd , 19~1, at the
hour of 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Third and l~ain
Streets, Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place
for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed
vacation of alley.
The City Council declares its intention to proceed with this
street vacation under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of
1941 (Sections S300 through 8374 of the California Streets and
Highways Code).
The Clerk of the Council is ordered to publish this Resolution
in the manner prescribed by law for the publication of Ordinances of
the City, and the Director of Public Works is ordered to post notices
of street vacation conspicuously along the line of said alley, stating
the passage of this Resolution of Intention to Vacate and the time
and place of hearing thereof. Said notices shall be posted not more
than 300 feet apart and at least three shall be so posted. Both
publication and posting shall be completed at least 10 days before
the date of said hearing.
