OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO CHANGE THE BOUNDARY
LINES OF 'iXqE WARDS AS REQUIRED BY THE CHARTER
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND FIXING TIME AND
PLACE OF PUBLIC HEARING THEREON
PU~EREAS, Section 181.2 of the Charter of the City of Santa
Ana requires the City Council to change the Ward boundary lines
each two years when any Ward varies at least ten percent of
registered electors from any other Ward, and such condition now
exists; and said Charter further provides that in laying out such
Wards no Precinct, at the time fixed by the Board of Supervisors,
shall be divided.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council
hereby declares its intention to make changes in the boundary lines
of Wards in the City of Santa Ana so that no Ward shall vary more
than ten percent from any other Ward in total number of qualified
electors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That 7:30 P.M. on the 19th day of
Decenfoer, 1960, in the Council Chambers, Third Floor of the City
Hall, Third and Main Streets in Santa Ana, California, is the time
and place when and where any person having any interest in, objec-
tion to, or suggestion regarding the making of changes in the Ward
boundary lines may appear before the City Council and be heard
thereon.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council directs the
Clerk of the Council to give notice by publishing this Resolution
once a week for two weeks in the Register prior to December 19th,
1960.
PASSED Ak~ ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of December, 1950.
