IS PAYING A CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, WORLD SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION has executed a
deed dated April 18, 1966, conveying to the City an easement for
Street purposes on the south side of Eighth Street, west of Pacific
Avenue, in consideration of the sum of $1,980.00 and certain remedial
work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled
through Escrow Number 874084-hrb with First American Title Insurance
& Trust Company, Santa Aha, California; and
WHEREAS, DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA and IGNACIO DEHARO GONZALES and MARIA L. GONZALES have
executed a deed dated March 19, 1966, conveying to the City an
easement for street purposes on the north side of Eighth Street, east
of Fairview Street, in consideration of the sum of $1,050.00 and
certain remedial work to be done by the City; said transaction is to
be handled through Escrow No. 874024-hrb with First American Title
Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA and RUDOLFO PADILIA JARA and ELSIE JARA have executed a
deed dated March 19, 1966, conveying to the City an easement for
street purposes on the north side of Eighth Street, east of Fairview
Street, in consideration of the sum of $1,055.00 and certain remedial
work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 874026-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust
Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA and BULMARO FLORES and VICTORIA P. FLORES have executed
a deed dated March 19, 1966, conveying to the City an easement for
street purposes on the north side of Eighth Street, east of Fairview
Street, in consideration of the sum of $975.00 and certain remedial
work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 874027-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust
Company, Santa Aha, California; and
WHEREAS, FRANK CARRENO and JOSEPHINE CARRENO have executed a
deed dated April 19, 1966, conveying to the City an easement for
street purposes on the north side of Eighth Street, west of Hawley
Street, in consideration of the sum of $657.50 and certain remedial
work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 874001-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust
Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA and JOHN GONZALES PINEDO and VIRGINIA PINEDO have executed
a deed dated March 18, 1966, conveying an easement for street purposes
on the south side of Eighth Street, east of Fairview Street, in
consideration of the sum of $2,660.00 and certain remedial work to be
done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through Escrow
No. 874030-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust Company,
Santa Aha, California; and
WHEREAS, DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA and DESIDERIO MIRANDA YANEZ and NATALIE R. YANEZ have
executed a deed dated March 17, 1966, conveying an easement for street
purposes on the south side of Eighth Street, east of Fairview Street,
in consideration of the sum of $2,495.00 and certain remedial work
to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 874034-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust
Company, Santa Ana, California; and

WHEREAS, DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS OF THE STATE OF CALI-
FORNIA, and MANUEL R. MEDRANO and AURORA V. MEDRANO have executed
a deed dated March 16, 1966, conveying to the City an easement for
street purposes on the south side of Eighth Street, east of Fairview
Street, in consideration of the sum of $1,135.00 and certain remedial
work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 874037-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust
Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, and JUAN IBARRA and FRANCISCA VALDEZ IBARRA have executed
a deed dated March 19, 1966, conveying to the City an easement for
street purposes on the south side of Eighth Street, west of Hawley
Street, in consideration of the sum of $1,100.00 and certain remedial
work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 874004-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust
Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, heretofore, by Resolution 66-38, Paragraph 1, the
City accepted a deed from ARCADIO P. LOPEZ and JENNIE S. LOPEZ for
certain real property at the southwest corner of Eighth Street and
English Street, which said deed contained an error in the description
and which said action should be rescinded and a new deed dated
April 12, 1966, containing the corrected description of the property
being conveyed, should be accepted and the amended Escrow instructions
executed; said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 873638-
hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana,
California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign the Escrow instructions; that the City of Santa
Ana accepts said deeds and rescinds the acceptance of the deed from
ARCADIO P. LOPEZ and JENNIE S. LOPEZ as authorized by Resolution
66-38; and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent, is directed
to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 2nd day of May, 1966.
