HomeMy WebLinkAbout66-084RESOLUTION 66-84 ORDERING VACATION OF OLIVE STREET, BETWEEN FOURTH STREET AND SIXTH STREET, AND FIFTH STREET, BETWEEN FLOWER STREET AND A POINT 300 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF OLIVE STREET WHEREAS, on recommendation of the Planning Commission and the Department of Public Works, Resolution 66-71 was adopted giving notice of intention to vacate street right of way,herein described, to comply with the Civic Center Agreement for the vacation of certain street rights of way, and giving notice of public hearing thereon; and WHEREAS, said public hearing was duly held on both published and posted notices as required by law and, after hearing, the City Council determined that said right of way should be vacated. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds that certain street right of way known as Olive Street, between Fourth and Sixth Streets, and as Fifth Street, between Flower Street and a point 300 feet west of the center line of Olive Street, is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes and does hereby make its order abandoning and vacating for street purposes those portions of Fifth and Olive Streets in the Civic Center area in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: That portion of Olive Street bounded Northerly by the Southerly line of Sixth Street and bounded Southerly by a line parallel with and 52.00 feet Northerly, measured at right angles, from the center line of Fourth Street as said Streets are shown on the Corrected Map of Blocks L, M, N, O and P of the Ross Addition to Santa Ana as recorded in Book 1, page 45, Records of Surveys, in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California. and That portion of Fifth Street bounded Easterly by a line parallel with and 60.00 feet Westerly, measured at right angles from the center line of Flower Street as said street is shown on a map recorded in Book 85, page 2, Records of Surveys, in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California; and bounded Westerly by a line parallel with and 300.08 feet Westerly, measured at right angles, from the center line of Olive Street.
