ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED FROM VIRGINIA P. MUNOZ BY
RESOLUTION 65-99 WITH NO CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, heretofore one VIRGINIA P. MUNOZ delivered to the
City a deed dated June 1, 1965, conveying an easement for street
purposes on the north side of McFadden Avenue, 180 feet west of
Newhope Street; and
WHEREAS, said deed was without cash consideration being paid
to said grantor by the City of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution 65-99 the City of Santa Ana accepted
said deed and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent, was
directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deed; and
WHEBEAS, it now appears that the deed executed by VIRGINIA
P. MUNOZ was ineffectual by reason of her having, at the time of
execution of said deed, no interest in or to the property subject
of said deed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the acceptance of said
deed by the City of Santa Ana as contained in Resolution 65-99 is
hereby revoked and rescinded and the authority of Carl J. Thornton
as the City's designated agent to place his Certificate of Acceptance
upon said deed is hereby withdrawn.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of July, 1966.
