CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, similarly to all other salaries, those of city
managers have continued to increase over the years throughout the
State of California; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana is now paying its City Manager
at a rate below that prevalent in the State for managers of cities
of comparable size; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Santa Ana is of a
caliber to warrant payment well above the prevailing rate; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the salary of
the City Manager should be increased to bring it into the range of
currently prevalent salaries for city managers of cities of comparable
size;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the salary for the
position of City Manager of Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed
and established at $.2,350.00 per month.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said salary shall be paid in the
same manner and at the same time as other monthly salaries in the
City are paid, and that said new salary rate shall take effect and
be paid from the 1st day of September, 1966.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 19th day of September, 1966.
