THE CITY IS PAYING A CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, BILLEE B. HALLORAN has executed a deed dated November 4,
1966, conveying an easement for street purposes on the northwest
corner of Spurgeon Street and Washington Avenue, in consideration of the
sum of $350.00; said transaction to be handled through Escrow No.
874754-hrb with the First American Title Insurance & Trust Company,
Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, T. R. BOLTE DEVELOPMENT, INC., a California corporation,
and ERICO, INC., a California corporation, have executed a deed dated
August 23, 1966, conveying an easement for a U-1-A Storm Drain, and a
temporary easement to be used in conjunction with the construction of
said storm drain, in the consideration of the sum of $1,500.00; said
transaction to be handled through Escrow No. 870597-hrb with the First
American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WPLEREAS, ELLSWORTH J. FARI~ and BLANCHE I. FARR, husband and wife,
have executed a deed dated November 3, 1966, conveying to the City two
parce~ of real property located at 322-324 E. Seventeenth Street and
1624 French Street, in consideration of the sum of $37,000.00; said
transaction to be handled through Escrow No. 874753-hrb with the First
American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, LOUIS J. KELLY and MARY D. KELLY, husband and wife, and
ELMER S. POIRIER and GRACE S. POIRIER, husband and wife, have executed
a deed dated October 25, 1966, conveying to the City easements for
street purposes on the South side of Seventeenth Street and the east
side of French Street, in consideration of the sum of $13,200.00; said
transaction to be handled through Escrow No. 874741-hrb with the First
American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, and CONSUELO ARIAS, have executed a deed dated April 4, 1966,
conveying to the City an easement for street purposes on the south side
of Eighth Street and west of Hawley Street, in consideration of the sum
of $1,300.00 and certain remedial work to be done by the City; said
transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 874008-hrb with the
First American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana, California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign the Escrow instructions; that the City of Santa Ana
accepts said deeds, and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of November, 1966.
