COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
EXPRESSING OPPOSITION TO SENATE
BILLS NO. 1034 and 413
WHEREAS, the Parking and Business Improvement Area Act of
1965 provides a flexible tool for the revitalization and improvement
of commercial areas; and
WHEREAS, said Act provides adequate safeguards for both
municipalities and entrepeneurs utilizing the provisions of
said Act; and
WHEREkS, proposed Senate Bills 1034 and 413 would severely
limit the effectiveness of the provisions of said Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the City of Santa Ana hereby expresses its opposition to
Senate Bills No. 1034 and 413.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the Santa Ana
at its regular meeting held on the 15th day of May, 1967.
