CITY IS PAYING A CASH CONSIDER3~TION
WHEREAS, FIRST WESTERN BANK & TRUST COMPANY, Administrator
of the Estate of Katherine Fitzgerald, also known as Katherine
Gaines, deceased, has executed a deed dated May 11, 1967, conveying
to the City of Santa Ana a parcel of real property on the north
side of First Street, west of Baker Street, in consideration of the
sum of $10,000, being the amount authorized by Resolution 67-61 for
the purchase of said property; said transaction is to be handled
through Escrow No. 874902-HRB with First American Title Insurance &
Trust Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICT NO. 1 of Orange County
has executed a quitclaim deed dated May 25, 1967, quitclaiming to
the City of Santa Ana an abandoned sewer easement on the east side
of Fairview Street, south of Segerstrom Avenue, in consideration of
the sum of $1,200;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign the Escrow instructions; that the City of Santa
Ana accept said deeds, and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated
agent, is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said
deeds.
