RESOLUTION SEETING TIME OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR PURPOSE
OF DETERMINING WHETHER THE PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND
NECESSITY REQUIRE IMPROVEMENT WORK
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 226
SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana~ Ca%if-
ornia is considering the formation of a special assessment dzstrzct
u~d~r.and pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911,
Dzvzszon 7 of the Streets and Hmghways Code of the State of California,
for the purpose of the construction and installation of an eight inch
diameter sewer main line, with four inch diameter sewer house laterals,
manholes, and rock bedding in: West Street from Hazard Avenue to
150 feet north of the center line of Georgine Street; Georgine and
Celeste Streets from West Street to Elaine Drive; Mary and Fay Circles
from West Street to the easterly terminus of each; Elaine Drive from
Georgine Street to Celeste Street; Hazard Avenue from West Street
to La Vergn Way; Morse Drive and La Vergn Way; Sewer easements
westerly from the southerly terminus of La Vergn Way to Huyler's Lane;
Huyler's Lane to Fifth Street, together with appurtences and appurten-
ant work, as said proposed work and improvement is shown and described
upon the plans, profiles and detailed drawings of said work, and to
the specifications for the doing of said work on file in the office
of the Director of Public Works of said City of Santa A. Dm, and ap-
proved by said City Council by its Resolution No. 67-115 adopted
July 17, 1967; and
WHEREAS, said City Council desires to hold a public hearing,
concurrently with the protest hearing under the resolution of in-
tention to be adopted in this proceeding, for the purpose of finding
and determining whether the public convenience and necessity require
such improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana, California, in regular session assembled, that
said public hearing shall be conducted by said City Council con-
currently with the Protest hearing under the resolution of intention,
to be hereafter adopted herein, in the council chambers in the City
Hall in said City of Santa Aha, California on Monday, the 21st day
of August, 1967 at 7:30 o'clock P.M. of said date, or as soon there-
after as said public hearing can be held, for the purpose of finding
and determining whether the public convenience and necessity require
such improvement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of the time and place
of said public hearing shall be set forth in the resolution of
intention to be adopted in this assessment district proceeding, and
that the Clerk of the Council shall give notice of said public
hearing in the time and manner provided in Section 7232 of the Santa
Aha Municipal Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any interested person may
appear at said public hearing and be heard.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 17th da~f~ 19~7.
