RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING THAT THE
PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY D~AND
THE ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF
CERTAIN MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT
AND MAKING FINDINGS RELATING THERETO.
The City Council of the City of Santa Ana,
California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER
as follows:
Section 1. That the public interest and neces-
sity demand the acquisition and construction by said city
of a certain municipal improvement, to wit:
BOND PROPOSITION: To adopt a Program for Progress by taking
urgent, critical, preventive measures for the protection of health,
safety, general welfare and property of the citizens by repairing,
constructing and enlarging the city's network of sewers and storm
drains, for improving and increasing fire protection and super-
vision in critical areas, for effecting greater economies in ad-
ministrative efficiency for buildings, improvements and services,
for the purpose of repairing and improving city streets, sidewalks
and thoroughfares as a means of providing increased safety and
convenience for pedestrians and vehicular traffic, including
repair, replacement, relocation and widening of streets in areas
throughout the city, to install new and repair or replace older
street lighting and related facilities as needed or required, to
develop and expand more neighborhood parks and recreational
services, improvement of existing park sites and the installing
of needed or required services, buildings and essential equipment
and all lands and facilities necessary for the foregoing purposes
which constitute a city plan as approved by the Planning Commission
and the City Council, shall the city incur a bonded indebtedness
in the principal amount of Twenty-Five Million Dollars ($25,000,000)?
That the estimated cost of said municipal improve-
ment is $25,000,000
That said municipal improvement
requires an expenditure greater than the amount allowed for
it by the annual tax levy and is necessary and convenient
to carry out the objects, purposes and powers of said city.
