OF DEEDS FOR THE SkLE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY
FOR A CASH CONSIDERkTION
WHEREAS, heretofore the City published notice of sale of
surplus real property, hereinbelow described, at public auction
to be held at a regular meeting of the City Council on July 3, 1967,
and at said time and place said property was sold to PACIFIC
SOUTHWESTERN PROPERTIES, the only bidders for the same, in
consideration of the sum of $62,495.40, $6,249.54 paid on acceptance
of said bid and the balance of the purchase price to be paid
throught Escrow No. 10-1068-A opened with Trans-State Title Company,
Beverly Hills, California; and
WHEREAS, heretofore the City published notice of sale of
surplus real property, hereinbelow described, at public auction
to be held at a regular meeting of the City Council on July 17,1967,
and at said time and place said property was sold to SOUTHERN
SERVICE COMPANY, a California corporation, the only bidders for the
same, in consideration of the sum $15,000.00, $1,500.00 paid on
acceptance of said bid and the balance of the purchase price to be
paid through Escrow No. 454586-ET opened with Title Insurance and
Trust Company, Santa Ana, California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign the Escrow instructions, and the Mayor and the
Clerk of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute
a deed granting to PACIFIC SOUTHWESTERN PROPERTIES, all that real
property situated in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State
of California, described as:
PARCEL 1
That portion of Lot 2 of Tract No. 33, in the City of Santa
Ana, as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 9, page 31,
Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California,
bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the Southerly line of Eighth Street
(formerly Hickey Street), distant thereon 250 feet Easterly
from the Easterly line of Bristol Street, as shown on said
map, (said point also being distant 240 feet Easterly from the
Easterly line of the strip of land, 10 feet wide, granted to
the City of Santa Ana, for street purposes, by deed dated
December 27, 1923, and filed May 26, 1924, as document No. 4737,
in the office of the Registrar of Titles of said Orange County);
running thence South 120 feet; thence East 145 feet; thence
North 120 feet to said Southerly line of Eighth Street; thence
Westerly along said line of Eighth Street, 145 feet to the POINT
OF BEGINNING.
Excepting therefrom the Northerly 30 feet.
Reserving all vehicular access rights to Eighth Street from the
land above described.
PARCEL 2
Ail that certain'real property situated in the County of Orange,
State of California, described as follows:
The Northerly 122.00 feet of the Westerly 64.00 feet of the
Northerly 230.00 feet of the Easterly 189.00 feet of Lot 2
of Tract 33, in the City of Santa Ana, as shown on a map
thereof, recorded in Book 9, page 31, Miscellaneous Maps,
records of said Orange County, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the South line of Eighth Street, formerly
Hickey Street, 125.00 feet West of the corner formed by the
intersection of the South line of Eighth Street, formerly Hickey
Street, and the West line of Baker Street, running thence South
parallel to the West line of Baker Street, 122.00 feet; thence
West, parallel with the South line of Eighth Street, formerly
Hickey Street, 64.00 feet; thence North, parallel with the West
line of Baker Street, 122.00 feet to the South line of Eighth
Street, formerly Hickey Street, and thence East 64.00 feet to
the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Excepting the North 30.00 feet.
Reserving all vehicular access rights to Eighth Street from the
land above described.
and place the same in the above-referenced escrow for delivery to
said grantees.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby authorized
to sign the Escrow instructions, and the Mayor and the Clerk of the
Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed granting
to SOUTHERN SERVICE COMPANY, all that real property situated in the
City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described
Lot 9 in Block E of Tract No. 344, in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, as per map recorded
in book 15, page 5 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of
the County Recorder of said County.
and place the same in the above-referenced escrow for delivery to
said grantees.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of August, 1967.
