FOR THE SALE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY TO HUBERT D. HOWELL
FOR A CASH CONSIDERATION OF $11,500
WHEREAS, heretofore the City published notice of sale of
surplus real property, hereinbelow described, at public auction
to be held at a regular meeting of the City Council on September 5,
1967, and at said time and place said property was sold to HUBERT
D. HOWELL, the highest bidder for the same, in consideration of the
sum of $11,500, $1,150 paid on acceptance of said bid and the balance
of the purchase price to be paid through Escrow No. 886 opened with
Western Title Guaranty Company, Santa Aha, California; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign the Escrow instructions, and the Mayor and the
Clerk of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute
a deed granting to HUBERT D. HOWELL, a married man, as his separate
property, all that real property situated in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, and the West half of Lot 11 in Block "F" of
Santa Ana Investment Company Tract No. 1, Humphreys Addition to
Santa Ana, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 11, page 39,
Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles, California.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion lying within the following:
Beginning at the southwest corner of said Lot 7 and running thence
North 0" 09' 47" East 171.95 feet; thence South 89° 50' 13" East
7.33 feet to a point on a non-tangent curve concave northeasterly,
having a radius of 17.00 feet, the radial to said curve at said
point bears North 89° 50' 13" West; thence southeasterly along
said curve through a central angle of 71° 52' 26", an arc distance
of 21.33 feet to a point of reverse curvature, with a curve concave
westerly and having a radius of 43.00 feet; thence along said
reverse curve through a central angle of 135° 56' 43", an arc
distance of 102.03 feet to a point of cusp, with a non-tangent
line; thence South 78° 47' 37" East 260.50 feet to a point of cusp
with a non-tangent curve concave easterly, having a radius of
43.00 feet, the radial to said curve at said point of cusp bears
South 55° 04' 52" West; thence northwesterly and northeasterly
along said curve through a central angle of 95° 03' 06" an arc
distance of 71.34 feet to a point of reverse curvature with a curve
concave northwesterly, having a radius of 13.00 feet; thence along
said reverse curve through a central angle of 60° 00' 00" an arc
distance of 13.61 feet to a point on a tangent line, said tangent
line being the East line of said Block "F"; thence South 00° 07' 58"
West, 98.54 feet to the southeast corner of said Block "F"; thence
South 89° 59' 25" West 300.35 feet along the South line of said
Block "F" to the point of beginning.
ALSO EXCEPTING all access rights to First Street from the lands
described above,
and place the same in the above-referenced escrow for delivery to
said grantee.
