DEED TO WALTER E. HEMINGWAY FOR THE S~T~ OF
SURPLUS PROPERTY FOH A CASH CONSIDERATION OF
$7,892.50
WHEREAS, by action of the City Council on October 19th, 1967,
certain real property located on the north side of First Street, ~
west of Baker Street, was declared to be surplus property and of
such size and shape as to be of value only to the owner of the
adjacent property and negotiated sale of said property was authorized;
and
WHEREAS, WALTER E. HEMINGWAY and ANNA M. HEMINGWAY are the
owners of the property adjacent to said surplus property and have
agreed to purchase the same for a cash consideration of $7,892.50
through Escrow Number 55259-C with Security Title Insurance Company,
Santa Ana, California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign the Escrow instructions; that the Mayor and the
Clerk Of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute
a deed granting to WALTER E. HEMINGWAY and ANNA M. HEMINGWAY the
City's interest in and to that certain real property in the City of
Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as:
The easterly one-half of Lot 7 and the westerly 13 feet of
Lot 5 in Block "A" of the Bessonett Tract, as shown on a map
recorded in Book 24, page 73 of Miscellaneous Records of
Los Angeles County, California. EXCEPTING TPIEIKEFHOM the
southerly 40.00 feet,
and deliver the same into said Escrow Number 55259-C.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of November, 1967.
