PROPERTY CONTRACT AND ACCEPTING QUITCLAIM DEEDS
FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY FOR CIVIC CENTER
PROJECT NO. G.A. 401
WHEREAS, the Department of Real Property Services of the
County of Orange, acting for and on behalf of the City of Santa
Ana, has negotiated and conditionally delivered to the City a
Real Property Contract and quitclaim deeds executed by the COUNTY
OF ORANGE and the ORANGE COUNTY EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM which
will convey to the City real property on the south side of Fifth
Street, from Ross Street to Van Ness Avenue, and designated in
said Contract as Parcel No. 206, providing for the payment of
$150,000.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the
Clerk of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to
execute said Real Property Contract for the City; that the City of
Santa Ana accepts said deeds; and Carl J. Thornton, the City's
designated agent, is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance
thereon.
The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to issue his
warran~ in the amounts 0fi$22,290.07, payable to the COUNTY OF
ORANGE, and $127,709.93, payable to the BOARD OF RETIREMENT OF THE
RETIREMENT SYSTEM OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE, and to deliver the same
when title to said property has been obtained by the City, on notice
from said Department of Real Property Services.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 15th day of January, 1968.
