THE CITY IS PAYING A CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREkS, HAZEL M. ROSENBAUM, ETHEL R. PEASE, FRANK O. ROSENBAUM,
FRED G. ROSENBAUM, NELL R. FEW, PEGGy SUE STEVENS, ELENOR R. MARKHAM,
MELVIN E. ROSENBAUM, LINA R. MAC CAUGHTRY, LEILA R. JERGENS, ED M.
ROSENBAUM, HOMER T. ROSENBAUM, ANNE R. HOWELL and RUTH R. JONES, have
executed a deed dated January 24, 1968, conveying to the City a parcel
of real property on the north side of First Street, west of Main
Street, for which the City is paying a cash consideration of $30,000.00;
and, C & L MOTORS, a partnership, has executed a quitclaim deed dated
January 24, 1968, quitclaiming their interest in the Rosenbaum property
by reason of an unrecorded sales contract; said transaction to be
handled through Escrow Number 55351-C with Security Title Insurance
Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, JOHN P. COZAD, as to an undivided three-fourths interest,
CHARLES R. COZAD, an undivided one-eighth interest and JACQUELINE L.
WILLIAMS, an undivided one-eighth interest, have executed a deed dated
December 8, 1967, conveying to the City an easement for street purposes
on the south side of First Street, and the east side of Sycamore, for
which the City is paying a cash consideration of $1,040.00; said trans-
action to be handled through Escrow Number 55392-C with Security Title
Insurance Company, Santa Aha, California; and
WHEREAS, MARY FRANCES LONG, has executed a deed dated February 9,
1968, conveying to the City an easement for underground storm drain
structures, and parcels of real property on the south side of First
Street and the east side of Broadway, for which the City is paying a
cash consideration of $545.00; said transaction to be handled through
Escrow Number 55486-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana,
California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign the Escrow instructions; that the City of Santa Aha
accepts said deeds, and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the city of Santa Ana
at its regular meeting held on the 19th day of February, 1968.
