McFADDEN AVENUE BETWEEN FAIRVIEWAND RAITT STREETS
AND ESTABLISHING A "NO STOPPING" ZONE IN SAID AREA
W~EREAS, McFadden Avenue as it exists between Fairview and
Raitt Streets has become one of the more heavily travelled streets
in the City of Santa Ana and carries increasing volumes of traffic;
and
WHEREAS, considerable delay and hazard are created whenever
a vehicle has to wait in a traffic lane for an opportunity to make
a left turn; and
WHEREAS, the installation of left turn storage lanes in
conjunction with the removal of curbside stopping is effective in
reducing such traffic delay and hazard;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That McFadden Avenue be
provided with left turn storage lanes from Fairview Street to Raitt
Street and that curbside stopping be prohibited on the north side
of McFadden Avenue from Fairview Street to a point 550 feet East of
Raitt Street.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of March, 1968.
