BETWEEN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND CIPRIANA VIT.T~
INVOLVING PROPERTY ON THE EAST SIDE OF LOGAN STREET,
NORTH OF FRUIT STREET, P~ESULTING IN A CASH CONSIDERATION
DUE TO CIPRIANA VILLA
WHEREAS, CIPRIANA VIT.T.A, also known as Cipriana Billa, has
executed a deed dated April 24, 1968, conveying to the City of Santa
Ana an easement for street purposes east of Logan Street, north of
Fruit Street, with a cash value of $2,000.00 in exchange for which
the City will convey to said CIPRIANA VlTJ~ other real property which
has been declared surplus and is contiguous to the real property
being conveyed to the City, which property has a cash value of
$1,500.00; the sale of this property was authorized by the City
Council on May 20th, 1968; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has agreed to pay to CIPRIANA
VIT.LA the difference in equity of the interests in real property
being exchanged hereby in the amount of $500.00; and
WHEREAS, ROBERT G. BIT.TA, the husband of Cipriana villa, for
good and valuable consideration, has, by quitclaim deed, conveyed to
the City of Santa Ana all his right, title, and interest in and to
said easement conveyed by Cipriana Villa; and
WHEREAS, said transaction is to be handled through Escrow
Number 55607-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana,
California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana
accepts said deed from CIPRIANA VILLA and quitclaim deed from ROBERT
G. BILLA granting to the City of Santa Ana the following described
property:
An easement for street purposes over that portion of Lot 10,
Block E of Hawkin's Addition to Santa Ana, in the City of Santa
Ana, as shown on a map recorded in Book 13, Page 26, of Miscel-
laneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, described as
follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Lot 10; thence Northerly
along the East line of said Lot 10, a distance of 30.12 feet;
thence Southwesterly, in a straight line, to a point on the South
line of said Lot 10 which is 64.58 feet Westerly from the Southeast
corner of said Lot 10; thence Easterly along the South line of said
Lot 10, a distance of 64.58 feet to the point of beginning.
Also hereby granting all vehicular access rights to the lands lying
Southeasterly of the Northwesterly line of the above described
property.
and Carl J. Thornton, the city's designated agent, is directed to
place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk of the
Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed for and
on behalf of the City of Santa Ana quitCla~ming to CIPRIANA VILLA
that certain real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange,
State of California, described as:
That portion of Lot 11 in Block E of Hawkin's Addition to Santa Ana,
in the City of Santa Ana, as shown on a map thereof recorded in
Book 13, Page 26, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California, described as follows:

Beginning at a point on the West line of said Lot 11 which is
28.22 feet Southerly from the Northwest corner of said Lot 11;
thence North along the West line of said Lot 11 a distance of
28.22 feet to the Northwest corner of said Lot 11; thence East
along the North line of said Lot 11, a distance of 60.46 feet;
thence Southwesterly, in a straight line, to the point of be-
ginning.
Reserving therefrom all vehicular access rights to the lands
lying Southeasterly of the Southeasterly line of the above
described property,
and deliver the same into Escrow No. 55607-C.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of May, 1968.
