WEST DOWNTOWN DIAGONAL FOR WHICH THE CITY
IS PAYING A CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, ORANGE COUNTY REPORTER, a co-partnership, has
executed a deed dated May 29, 1968, conveying to the City a parcel
of real property on the South side of Sixth Street, East of Ross
Street, for which the City is paying a cash consideration of
$51,000.00; said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No.
55514-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana, California;
and
WHEREAS, RAY BRENNAN, A. H. AI.TRN, and ROBERT W. HEYSEL, as
trustees of the "0. L. HALSELL FOUNDATION", have executed a deed
dated May 28, 1968, conveying to the City an easement for street
purposes on the South side of Sixth Street, West of Birch Street,
for which the City is paying a cash consideration of $39,750.00;
said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 55609-C with
Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana, california;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign the Escrow instructions; that the City of Santa
Ana accepts said deeds, and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated
agent, is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said
deeds.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the city of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of June, 1968.
