MAIN STREET AT CENTRAL AVENUEAND AT FLORA STREET
AND PROHIBITING PAP. KING IN SAID AREA
WHEREAS, Main Street has become one of the more heavily
travelled streets in the City of Santa Aha and carries increasing
volumes of traffic; and
WHEREAS, considerable delay and hazard are created wherever
a vehicle has to wait in a traffic lane for an opportunity to make
a left turn; and
Wq{EREAS, the installation of left turn storage lanes in con-
junction with the removal of curbside parking is effective in
reducing such traffic delay and hazard;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Main Street be provided
with left turn storage lanes for Central Avenue and Flora Street
and that parking be prohibited at the east curb of Main Street from
Central Avenue to 170 feet north of the center line of Flora Street.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of June, 1968.
