RIGHT OF WAY ON A PORTION OF CENTURY BOULEVARD
BETWEEN SEVENTEENTH STREET AND HARBOR BOULEVARD,
RESERVING AN EAS~NT T~EREIN FOR SOUTHERN COUNTIES
GAS COMPANY
WHEREAS, on recommendation of the Department of Public Works
and the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana, Resolution
68-90 was adopted giving notice of intention to vacate that certain
14-foot strip of excess right of way on Century Boulevard between
Seventeenth Street and Harbor Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, on July 1, 1968, public hearing was duly held on
said vacation on posted notices and the publication of said
Resolution 68-90;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the City of Santa Ana hereby finds that that certain 14-foot strip
of excess right of way on Century Boulevard lying between Seventeenth
Street and Harbor Boulevard is unnecessary for present or prospective
street purposes and does hereby make its order abandoning and vacating
it for street purposes and to RESERVE THEREIN a utility easement for
the Southern Counties Gas Company; said right of way lies in the City
of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, described as:
That portion of Century Boulevard as shown on a map
of Tract 538, recorded in Book 23, Page 33, of Miscel-
laneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California,
bounded southwesterly by the southwest line of Century
Boulevard; bounded northeasterly by a line that is
parallel and distant southwesterly 36.00 feet, measured
at right angles, with the center line of Century
Boulevard; bounded southeasterly by the northeasterly
prolongation of the southeast line of Lot 22 in said
Tract 538, and bounded northerly by a line that is
parallel and distant southerly 52.00 feet, measured at
right angles, with the center line of Westminster
Avenue and by the arc of a curve concave southwesterly,
having a radius of 64.00 feet, and tangent to said
parallel line lying 52.00 feet southerly from the
center line of WestmlD~ter Avenue, and tangent to said
northeasterly boundary.
RESERVING AN EASEMENT and right of way 5.00 feet in
width, the center line of which is 38.50 feet south-
westerly, from the center line of said Century Boulevard
to construct, place, operate, inspect, maintain, repair,
replace, remove and enlarge lines of pipe and other
structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of
gas lines as the Southern Counties Gas Company may, from
time to time, require.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 1st day of July, 1968.
