THE CITY IS PAYING A CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, HARRY CHAN, also known as MOW, W-AH QUOCK, and ENNA CHAN,
also known as MOW, LAMSHEE, husband and wife, have executed a deed dated
April 24, 1968, conveying to the City of Santa Ana a parcel of real
property on the north side of Seventeenth Street and the east side of
Bush Street, for which the City is paying a cash consideration of
$50,000; said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 463108-VH
with Title Insurance and Trust Company, Santa Aha, California; and
WHEREAS, WILLIAM J. SQUIER and RUTH B. SQUIER, husband and wife,
have executed a deed dated June 18, 1968, conveying to the City of Santa
Ana an easement for street purposes on the north side of Seventeenth
Street and the west side of Olive, for which the City is paying a cash
consideration of $9,035.00; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 55713-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana,
California, and in accordance with the terms of the agreement attached
thereto; and
WHEREAS, EUGENE B. SIVE and JOAN MARIE SIVE, husband and wife;
and LOUIS J. CELLA, JR. and MARIAN CELIA, husband and wife, have
executed a deed dated May 3, 1968, conveying to the City of Santa Ana
an easement for street purposes on the south side of Seventeenth Street,
west of Freeman, for which the City is paying a cash consideration of
$16,915.00; said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 55719-C
with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana, California, and in
accordance with the terms of the agreement attached thereto; and
WHEREAS, M P G RANCH, a partnership, has executed a deed dated
December 22, 1967, conveying to the City of Santa Ana an easement for
an underground potable water line on the west side of the Newport
Freeway~ north of Warner Avenue, for which the City is paying a cash
consideration of $63.00; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 55423-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana,
California;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign the Escrow instructions; that the City of Santa Ana
accepts said deeds, and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
at its regular meeting held on the 1st day of July, 1968.
