REPORT OF STREET SUPERINTENDENT, APPROVING
REPORT, AND ORDERING A COPY THEREOF FILED
WITH THE TAX COLLECTOR
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha adopted
Resolution 68-31 on March 4, 1968, which said Resolution declared
that weeds which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature and which
attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry, and
which are noxious and dangerous, were growing upon certain streets
sidewalks, and private property described in said Resolution 68-31,
and declared said weeds to be a public nuisance; and
WHEREAS, on April 1, 1968, said City Council adopted
Resolution 68-44 ordering the Street Superintendent of the City of
Santa Ana to abate such public nuisance; and
WHEREAS, said Street Superintendent has given notice to destroy
said weeds as required by law, in which notice the 15th day of July,
1968, at 7:30 P.M., was fixed as the time, and the Council Chambers of
the City, city Hall, Third and Main Streets, Santa Ana, california,
as the place where any and all persons interested in stating their
protests or objections to the report of the Street Superintendent
might be heard; and
WHEREAS, at the time set, the Street Superintendent submitted
his report and all protests and objections to said report were heard;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That all of said protests and
objections to the report of the Street Superintendent of the work done
be, and the same are, hereby overruled;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the report of the Street Superin-
tendent i~ hereby affirmed and that the Street Superintendent be, and
he is, hereby directed to file a copy of said report with the Tax
collector of Orange County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 15th day of July, 1968.
