OF MAIN STREET AND CERTAIN AREAS OF FIRST STREET
WHEREAS, in order to provide and maintain the maximum traffic
flow upon arterial Main Street and First Street, and to permit
channelization of left-turning vehicles upon said streets, and to
permit the establishment of lanes of traffic for right-turning
vehicles, the full widths of said streets must be employed in certain
areas; and
WHEREAS, the maintenance of parking spaces upon said streets
in those areas would constitute a considerable hazard to motorists
by reason of the necessity of closing traffic lanes to provide such
parking spaces;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That upon the completion of the
widening project on First Street and the interim widening of Main
Street between First Street and Second Street, parking is hereby
prohibited at all times, as follows:
FirSt
Street
On both sides from Townsend Street to Hesperian Street;
On the South side from Hesperian Street to Bristol Street;
On the South side from 132 feet West of the center line of
Baker Street to Baker Street;
On both sides from Baker Street to Birch Street, except that
parking will be permitted on the North side of First Street
from Flower to Garnsey Street;
On the South side from Birch to Broadway;
On the South side from 200 feet East of the center line of
Main Street to Orange Avenue;
On the North side from Bush Street to 200 feet East of the
center line of Spurgeon Street.
Main Street
On the West side from First Street to Second Street,
between the hours of 10:00 P.M. and 2:00 A.M.
On the East side from Walnut Street to Second Street.

Parking restrictions on the West side of Main Street from First
Street to Second Street will be subject to review within six months.
