PLANNING COMMISSION AND GRANTING APPEAL 215 ON
VARIANCE APPLICATION 68-77 FILED BY LORIN GRISET
SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE CONDITIONS
WHEREAS, after public hearing on notice, the Planning
Commission granted a variance on Variance Application 68-77, filed
by LORIN GRISET, to permit storage and distribution of laundry
supplies in an R-3 District at 620 East Sixth Street, Santa A/~a,
California; said variance was granted subject to certain conditions;
and
WHEREAS, Appeal Application No. 215 was duly filed by the
applicant appealing the conditions imposed by the Planning Commission
and presenting the matter to the City Council; and
W~EREA~, the City Council, after public hearing on notice,
has determined that said variance meets the requirements of
Section 9250.8 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, but that the
conditions numbered 8 and 10, imposed by the Planning Commission,
should be deleted and that conditions 4, 7, and 9 should be a~ended;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana does hereby grant a variance on Variance Applica-
tion 68-77, filed by LORIN GRISET, to permit the storage and distri-
bution of laundry supplies in an R-3 District at 620 East Sixth
Street, Santa Ana, California, subject to the following conditions:
That the development be according to the approved plot plan
except for minor modifications approved by the Planning
Department.
That only similar uses (storage, distribution, etc.) be permitted
on the site at a later date without additional variance
approvals.
That all activities, except deliveries and the offstreet parking
of automobiles and trucks, shall be conducted entirely within
the existing building.
4. That only two signs of 50 square feet be permitted on the building
pertaining only to the business conducted on the premises.
That the owner replace the temporary asphalt concrete in the
sidewalk area with standard portland cement concrete sidewalk
to City Standards.
6. That no washer extractors or any laundry equipment be used on
the premises.
7. That the hours of operation be limited to 6:30 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.,
Monday through Saturday, for the present use.
That no more commercial vehicles than can be stored on site be
kept on the premises.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of October, 1968.
