INDENTURE BETWEEN THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY
AND THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
W~IEREAS, SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY, a Delaware corporation,
has delivered to the City an Indenture granting to the City the
right to construct, reconstruct, maintain and use Seventeenth
Street, between French Street and the Santa Ana Freeway, for the
improvement of Seventeenth Street at said location and the instal-
lation of automatic gates and signals in connection with said
street improvement, under the terms and conditions contained in
said indenture;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana
hereby accepts said Indenture; the Mayor and the Clerk of the Council
are hereby authorized to execute said Indenture and to acknowledge
the same for and on behalf of the City of Santa Ana; and Carl J.
Thornton, the City's designated agent, is directed to place his
Certificate of Acceptance on said Indenture.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of October, 1968.
