STAND-BY SERVICE CHARGES
WHEREAS, there are certain expenses involved in maintaining water
facilities and in producing and delivering water to the consumer; and
WHEREAS, the Water utility wishes to recover said expenses from
the consumer, based on the quantity of water used, with a minimum charge
for stand-by readiness;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the following~ater rates
and service charges are to be levied and collected for each water
service turned on, or to which a stand-by service is provided, by the
Water Utility, as provided for in Section 7406 of Ordinance NS-936.
A. WATER RATES, BI-MONTHLY
For the first 1,500 cubic feet or less at $0.26
per 100 cubic feet;
For the next 6,000 cubic feet or less at $0.22 per
100 cubic feet;
For the next 17,500 cubic feet or less at $0.19 per
100 cubic feet;
For the.next 25,000 cubic feet or less at $0.16 per
100 cubic feet;
For the next 50,000 cubic feet or less at $0.14 per
100 cubic feet;
For all over 100,000 cubic feet at $0.12 per 100
cubic feet.
B. SERVICE CHARGES, BI-MONTHLY

The charges shall be double, those for private fire
services with detector check valves.
C. SERVICE OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS
All rates and service charges for service to premises
outside the service area shall be double the above rates and
charges.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this Resolution shall be effectual
as of the effective date of Ordinance No. NS-936.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of October, 1968.
