BRISTOL STREET FROM FIRST STREET TO MYRTLE STREET;
PROHIBITING PARKING IN SAID AREA; AND AUTHORIZING
A TWO-HOUR TIME LIMIT PARKING ZONE ON THE NORTH
SIDE OF WALNUT STREET
WHEREAS, Bristol Street has become one of the more heavily
travelled streets in the city of Santa Aha and carries increasing
volumes of traffic; and
WHEREAS, considerable delay and hazard are created wherever
a vehicle has to wait in a traffic lane for an opportunity to make
a left turn; and
WHEREAS, the installation of left turn storage lanes in con-
junction with the removal of curbside parking is effective ~n
reducing such traffic delay and hazard;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Bristol Street be
provided with left turn storage lanes for Chestnut Street, Pine
Street, and Walnut Street, and that parking be prohibited on
Bristol Street as follows:
On the West side ~om walnut Street to 200 feet South of
Chestnut Street; and
On the East side from 200 feet South of the center line
of First Street to 200 feet South of the center line of
Chestnut Street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That a 2-hour time limit parking
zone be established on the north side of Walnut Street from Bristol
Street to 100 feet East of Bristol Street.
