OF REAL PROPERTY FOR THE EXPANSION OF JEROME PARK FOR
WHICH THE CITY IS PAYING A CASH CONSIDERATION AND
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LAND SALE LEASE PURCHASE
OPTION AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, CARLTON JORDAN and VERA JORDAN, husband and wife,
have executed a deed dated October 30, 1968, conveying to the city
of Santa Ana a parcel of real property on the west side of Center
Street, south of Monta Vista Avenue, for which the City is paying
a cash consideration of $22,000; said transaction is to be handled
through Escrow No. 55950-C with Security Title Insurance Company,
Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, ST. LUKE'S METHODIST CHURCH OF SANTA ANA has
executed a deed dated October 24, 1968, conveying to the City of
Santa Ana a parcel of real property on the west side of Center
Street, south of Monta vista Avenue, for which the city is paying
a cash consideration of $49,090; said transaction is to be handled
through Escrow No. 55938-C with Security Title Insurance Company,
Santa Ana, california; and
WHEREAS, C. W. HUNTZINGER and ONA HUNTZINGER, husband and
wife, have offered to the city a Land Sale Lease Purchase Option
Agreement, under the terms of which the City is authorized and
empowered to obtain by increments certain land for park use; and
WHEREAS, the execution of said Agreement would be advantageous
to the citizenry of the City of Santa Ana; and
W/4_EREAS, pursuant to said Land Sale Lease Purchase Option
Agreement, the said C. W. HUNTZINGER and ONA HUNTZINGER, husband and
wife, have executed a grant deed affecting Parcel 1 in said Agree-
ment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
authorized to execute said Agreement and the Clerk of the Council
is hereby authorized to attest to said execution;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby authorized
to sign the Escrow Instructions; the city of Santa Ana accepts said
deeds, and the city Manager, the city's designated agent, is directed
to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.
