STREET ON THE NORTH SIDE FROM GRAND AVENUE TO
LYON STREET AND ON THE SOUTH SIDE FROM McCLAY
STREET TO LYON STREET
W/~EREAS, Fourth Street at it presently exists between Grand
Avenue and Lyon Street carries a heavy volume of westbound traffic
between 7:00 A.M. and 8:30 A.M. and a heavy volume of eastbound
traffic between the hours of 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M., during which
peak hours vehicles must merge from two lanes to one lane and
considerable delay and hazard are created wherever a vehicle has to
wait in a traffic lane for an opportunity to make a left turn; and
WPIEREAS, the removal of curbside parking is effective in
reducing such traffic delay and hazard;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That parking is hereby
prohibited on the north side of Fourth Street from Grand Avenue to
Lyon Street from 7:00 A.M. to 8:30 A.M., and on the south side of
Fourth Street from McClay Street to Lyon Street between 4:00 P.M.
and 6:00 P.M., except on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays.
