OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "WAKEHAM AVENUE
ANNEX" TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange
County has approved a description of territory hereinbelow
contained and annexation of said territory to the city of Santa
Ana, california; and
WHEREAS, written consent has been obtained from the involved
districts to the transfer of said territory from the Newport-Mesa
Unified School District and Orange Coast Junior college District to
the Santa Ana Unified School District and the Santa Ana Junior
College District; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the requirements of Government
Code Section 54797.1, the Local Agency Formation Commission of
Orange County has approved the within annexation and has authorized
the city Council of the city of Santa Ana, California, to annex
said territory without notice and hearing by the city Council of
the City of Santa Ana;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the City of Santa Ana, california, hereby finds and declares that
said territory was uninhabited at the time of the adoption of this
Resolution, and is contiguous to the city of Santa Ana; that all of
the statements hereinabove are true and correct; and that said
territory shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the city
existing at the time of this annexation;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the annexed territory shall
become a part of the Santa Ana Unified School District and the
Santa Ana Junior college District;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That all of the territory in the
County of Orange, State of california, described as:
Beginning at an angle point in the boundary of South
Santa Ana Annex Number 5 as annexed to the City of
Santa Ana by Ordinance NS-450, said angle point being
the intersection of the West line of Fairview Road
(formerly Old Newport Road, 60.00 feet wide) with a
line parallel with and 25.00 feet North, measured at
right angles, from the center line of Sunflower Avenue
(formerly Wakeham Avenue, 60.00 feet wide); thence
South 0~ 17' 30" East along said West line of Fairview
Road and along said city of Santa Ana boundary a
distance of 25.00 feet to its point of intersection
with the Westerly extension of the center line of
said Sunflower Avenue; thence North 88° 59' 30" East
departing from said City of Santa Ana boundary along
said center line of Sunflower Avenue a distance of
812.86 feet; thence North 75° 24' 04" East 46.30 feet
to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Southeast-
erly, and having a radius of 1040.00 feet; thence
Northeasterly along said curve through a central angle
of 3° 50' 51" an arc distance of 69.84 feet to a point
on a parallel line which is 25.00 feet North, measured
at right angles, from the center line of said Sunflower
Avenue, and to the Southerly boundary of said South
Santa Ana Annex Number 5 to the City of Santa Ana;
thence South 88° 59' 30" West along said boundary of
the City of Santa Ana and along said parallel line and
its Westerly extension to the West line of said Fairview
Road, a distance of 925.88 feet, to the point of beginning.

be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Ana and to
Ward No. 4 in said City, and said Annexation is by this Resolution
effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this
territory, the designation that applies is the "Santa Ana City -
1957-1958 Annexes".
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That in accordance with Government
Code Section 35318 the annexed territory will become a part of the
City of Santa Ana from the date of filing by the Secretary of State.
The Clerk of the Council of the city of Santa Ana shall, without
delay, transmit to the Secretary of State a certified copy of this
Resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTES by the City Council of the city of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of April, 1969.
